I had a great 40 hours of playtime with The Outer Worlds, main and side questing straight till the end. Being released at the end of 2019, while the globe was still rotating as it used to do, I can understand completely why the game’s release was received so well.
Below I’ve put some personal guidelines, to have an even better time with this amazing RPG-game…
Bug: Lip Sync issue during dialogs with the NPC’s
To fix this, go to Settings –> Graphics and set the Frame Rate Limit fixed to 60 FPS.
Bug: Cannot Apply Skill Points
This is a very annoying bug as it happens at random. Sometimes you really need to attack the E-key on your keyboard. If that does not work, restart the game and try again to assign the points to the different skill categories.
Hint: How to equip the holographic shroud for disguising in restricted area’s
You don’t need to, it’s all automatic. Just be sure you always have the corresponding ID card and read this.
Hint: How to let your companions attack an enemy while you can chill
Use the companion 1 or companion 2 attack button (for me configured on U and Y) when targeting an enemy to automatically let them attack him.
Hint: How to kill a mantiqueen
One of the harder enemies to beat on Monarch is the mantiqueen. I discovered plasma weapons and flamethrowers are almost useless against it. The way that worked the best for me (on level 16) was to use a light machine gun of type MK2, and combine it with the team attack. Below a footage for a clearer insight.
