DaRmaZat Recently, I had this weird issue with in-game (was playing FIFA 21) screen flickering, which turned out to be related to AMD’s FreeSync feature (to achieve a variable refresh rate). Both my graphics card (Radeon RX 5700 OC) and PC monitor have support for this feature, so I thought why not enable this in Windows and in the Radeon driver.
Eventually, I had to disable this functionality again on both places to get rid of this annoying flickering. In Windows 10, you can find this option under Display Settings –> Graphics Settings –> Variable Refresh Rate.
In the AMD Radeon Software you can find this VRR under Display –> AMD FreeSync.
Don’t forget to repeat this action for each game in the AMD settings pane as well! Also important to mention is that I always leave VSync enabled.
