In 2006, after being a console-exclusive for half a year, Condemned – Criminal Origins was released on PC. The game has a lot similarities with F.E.A.R. , as it was produced by Monolith Studios as well. But it also reminded me often to Fallout 76, maybe because of the many dark places to explore with freaking ghouls behind every corner. Or because of the balanced variation between exploring, trace tracking, fighting and surviving…
To run it without FPS drops though, I had to copy the same DLL-file as I did for the first F.E.A.R. and it’s expansions in the game’s root folder.
I completed the game in 7.7 hours and I really enjoyed it. At the beginning, the fighting was a bit tough to master but it never got frustrating. The tension never dropped and the story really reached it’s peak at the end.
Finally, some gameplay footage below.
