I finally found the time to continue my journey in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Of course, this had to be done in the best possible way. Meaning for me: improved combat, at least a sorted inventory and as little as possible survival, tedious or repetitive tasks, … In short, I installed some mods to enhance the experience!
Before deep diving into the more advanced stuff, you need to create a folder called ‘Mods’ in the game installation folder. Here, this action creates the location X:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Kingdom Come Deliverance\Mods.
Next, you can download the following mods (in zip format) from nexusmods.com:
- A_Sorted_Inventory_1.18
- Better_Sleep
- dumberenemies75
- Easy Mode
- EasyAssassination
- EasyToSeeHerbs
- less_encounters
- less_intrusive_map_icons
- NME (No More Eating mod)
- No_Helmet_Vision
- Quicksave
Just extract all these files into the ‘Mods’ folder, so that the list above represents the list of folder names inside it. For some, you will need to provide the mod.manifest file and subfolder Data yourself and place the .pak file into it. Just compare with one of the other mods and do some copy-paste magic.
As a next step, download the tool Joews-Kingdom-Come-Deliverance-Mods-Manager-v1.1-460-1-1.zip and extract the zip. Or you can also download the full package, including mods, the Mod Manager tool and the mod_order.txt with a working order just from here.
With this fantastic tool, you can automatically enable (or disable) all of the downloaded mods in the game. The mod manager will take care of things like the load order, or additional text entries in other files. Just don’t forget to save afterwards. Easy peasy, isn’t it?!?
