In contradiction to the first two games, Dead Island 2 felt in my opinion as if two opposite games were beaten up into a single, average one. The first game looked like a natural beauty, tasted fresh and felt very progressive. The second one as ugly, obsolete and uninspired as it can be.
The first few hours however, the game seemed to be very promising. Graphics were top notch, with environments just seducing to explore, voice acting was also so well done, even the jokes were funny.
Unfortunately, after 10 hours into the main story, the same zombies kept coming back, often spawning out of the blue just right behind me. Quantity above quality, so badly done. Even important bosses appeared to be copy-pasted shamelessly all over the place. And this never turned the other way around, not before I saw the credits roll after 20 hours. What a waste.
